עַתָּ֡ה הִנֵּ֣ה בָטַ֣חְתָּ לְּךָ֡ עַל־מִשְׁעֶנֶת֩ הַקָּנֶ֨ה הָרָצ֤וּץ הַזֶּה֙ עַל־מִצְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִסָּמֵ֥ךְ אִישׁ֙ עָלָ֔יו וּבָ֥א בְכַפּ֖וֹ וּנְקָבָ֑הּ כֵּ֚ן פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֔יִם לְכָֽל־הַבֹּטְחִ֖ים עָלָֽיו׃
Nun, siehe, du vertraust auf den Stab dieses gequetschten Schilfs, sogar auf Ägypten; worauf sich ein Mann lehnt, wird es in seine Hand gehen und es durchbohren; So ist der Pharao, der König von Ägypten, allen, die auf ihn vertrauen.

It will go into his palm. When a person supports himself on a support of a splintered reed, which has broken in his hand, the splintered edges come and puncture his palm.14Similarly, his reliance on Paroh for support will turn out to be bad for him.
